Martin has expertise in a host of farm related subjects. His particular interests are sheep (member of rare breeds society) and trees (member of forest owners association). His wide experiences and passion for lifestyle block living have qualified him well to co-ordinate the “goodGround” services. GoodGround will help lifestylers turn their blocks into "great" ground! Karla currently lives in a residential area and is patiently awaiting her ideal lifestyle block - she's regularly checking goodGround's lifestyleblocks for sale.
RON GILES
In recent years, Ron has pursued a career in writing. He has been published in a variety of magazines and written the content of many websites. Ron is perhaps best known for his best-selling books, having had five non-fiction books published in the last 6 years. Ron has just published a book for the Baby Boomer generation called ‘All the f words for Babyboomers.’ Check it out on Ron's website here SIAN HALL-GOODHEW Sian started with GoodGround in December 2007. Sian currently has her salespersons certificate and is a P.A. to Martin Albrecht. She has a keen interest in land and wants to learn as much as possible. Sian's interests include website development and maintaining websites. She went down to Zeald.com for training in managing websites during 2007 and found it very interesting. In future, her interest lies in owning her own business.

The founder of goodGround.com lives on a lifestyle block in Northland. He was born and educated in Auckland but with relatives all over the country engaged in farming it was inevitable he would be drawn to the country. He has extensive lifestyle block experience, having operated a business aimed at taking care of the practicalities of small farming ie: fencing, shearing, planting etc.
Karla started with goodGround in Feb 2005 and her life’s been great since then! Her interest and enthusiasm in goodGround fits nicely with her earlier life experiences - she was raised on farms in both the Waikato and in the Northland, and spent many years working for Fonterra (the Dairy company)
goodGround's features writer Ron Giles is a professional writer who hails from a Waikato farming family. After many years of spending all his holidays on the farms of his various uncles, he attended Massey University studying for an Agricultural Science degree with a view to becoming a Farm Advisor. That did not work out as he got involved in the hide and skin processing industry, becoming recognized worldwide for his expertise on machinery for fellmongering – the process of removing wool from sheepskins.
