Welcome to the October newsletter from www.goodground.com

Every now and then a property comes on the market which stands out from others for a number of reasons - it just "works" as they say in Real Estate jargon. We have just such a property fresh to the market on goodground.com and you'll see it on the home page.

The good news this month was the Reserve Bank held interest rates at there present levels, any increase would have been bad news for anybody in the property market and bad news for anybody exporting.

We are seeing increasing interest from overseas buyers and have a couple of enquiries from the US at the moment. The term "Lifestyle Block" is not generally known in America so it’s always good to explain this way of living to them.

Apologies for links in last months newsletter not functioning properly. We had a small upgrade of our site where pages were moved around and this happened the day after the newsletter was distributed creating the error with our links.

It is becoming increasingly apparent that the "internet provider" market is becoming more and more competitive. The stumbling block to advanced technology at an affordable price for the rural community has always been the monopoly called "Telecom"(see "rural rip-off" article on goodground)

Thankfully this situation is resolving itself (albeit slowly) and at last we can look forward to some genuine competition in rural areas resulting in better service (it could hardly have been worse), better pricing and faster and more reliable internet access.

With fireworks now readily available injuries and the risk of fire increase. Just a quick reminder to be sure your animals are secure (might be a good time to check all those fences) and make sure to keep your children safe also. Have respect for your neighbours and not only their animals but also their property - try not to start a fire!
