Martin Albrecht, the founder of goodGround Real Estate, was born in Auckland and educated at Campbells Bay Primary and Rangitoto College. His academic achievements were not noteworthy. However, he captained the college 1st XV and opened the batting for the 1st XI.
Martin embarked on his OE soon after leaving school. He only got as far as Australia where he met and fell in love with his wife, Laurelle. They have 3 adult children living in Whangarei, Auckland and Perth. Laurelle is a vital part of the goodGround administration team.
Martin has had nearly 40 years experience in farming and forestry. He ran a forestry pruning gang for 15 years prior to entering the real estate profession. Martin has used his experience in the rural sector to successfully sell a number of farms, forests and lifestyle blocks.
Martin is a strong believer in following a high standard of ethics. He is proud of the team at goodGround Real Estate because of their commitment to offering the consumer “service beyond excellence”.

Martin’s out of work activities includes being Chairman of the Northland Rugby Referees, pursuing an interest in rare breeds (Pitt Island sheep) and working with Laurelle on their small farm.
