I know well both the excitement and the stress involved in buying, selling, and moving house.
While I grew up in one home and lived within 5km of where I was born until I was almost 40, due to the structure of my own household and having made several regional moves (Auckland, Wellington, Waikato, Northland), we are currently in our seventh home.
The need to be able to accommodate three generations of family, two large dogs and two cats, meant that renting was not an option and therefore each time we moved I viewed a substantial number of potential homes. With criteria ranging from schools for the kids, proximity to the husband’s workplace, and a bedroom for the in-laws (no, the window-less room at the back of the garage is not suitable), to having a fenced property suitable for large dogs and a safe road for the cats. In Wellington alone I viewed 81 different properties (if you’ve ever lived in Wellington you’ll understand why).
Having ‘been there’ myself, and recently looking at getting back into the workforce, I decided that I would like to help others with their own real estate needs. Whether you are highly organised and ready to go on the market now, or whether you struggle with that side of things and need a bit of help getting sorted and planning the move, I would value the opportunity to work for and support you as you go through this process yourself.
I have recently qualified as a licensed real estate consultant and I am backed by the wonderful team at goodGround Real Estate, our top-ranking website, and our Written Service Guarantee.
