I am writing to let you know how satisfied I am with the property that you negotiated on my behalf. The land is proving to be ideal for flower bulb production.
Having you act as my representative under a Buyer Agency Agreement gave me the assurance that you were acting in my best interests and hence I felt that I got the best possible price. The price you achieved for me well exceeded my expectations and was considerably less than what I paid earlier for the neighbouring property. I really liked the way this buying system worked.
I have no hesitation in recommending goodGround Real Estate Ltd as Buyers Agents acting in the buyers best interests.

I saved $50,000 on my dream home in the Bay of Islands by engaging the Goodground Buyers Agency.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Buyers Agents Martin Albrecht and Tim Dow of goodGround Real Estate during the purchase of my coastal home in the Bay of Islands, NZ.
I’m an expat Kiwi living in Singapore and had been looking to buy a home in New Zealand for about 18 months. In April this year, I found a beautiful home with superb ocean views for sale by negotiation in Te Ngaere Bay.
I went over with my girlfriend to check it out. We both loved the home and I decided then I wanted someone who knew the NZ property market, local conditions and valuation fluctuations to handle the negotiations for me as living OS made this difficult.
I searched the internet for an NZ property broker who could negotiate with the vendors to get me the best price. Although property brokers or buyers agents are common in the US, Australia and Europe I found that they are relatively unknown in NZ.
But there was a glowing article in the NZ Herald about goodGround Real Estate in Waipu, who had recently started a Buyers Agency Service.
I contacted goodGround principal Martin Albrecht and arranged to meet him when we visited NZ. The first thing I can say about both Marty and his Buyers Agent Tim Dow is that they are genuinely nice, honest and sincere people. As soon as Melisa and I met them, we knew we had made the right decision engaging them to act on our behalf.
They’re very friendly, easy to talk to, they listen and they know what they’re talking about without being pushy or trying to over-sell. In short, they are the complete opposite of a lot of real estate agents.
They way goodgGound buyers agents work is simple. You tell them where you want to live, what type of home you’d like to buy and roughly what want to pay. They then go and find a selection of homes that meet your criteria. This can be in any city, town or district in NZ.
Once they find a home you like, they write a comprehensive market analysis report just for you and basically build up a comprehensive case to negotiate a better price for the home on your behalf based on facts not emotion.
Quite simply, their job is to get you the buyer the best deal possible. They’re working for you, not the sellers as opposed to the vendors agent who is working to get them the best price.
After the house settled, I paid them a fee based on the savings I made. Goodground also took care of all the due diligence, arranged all the reports I needed and generally did all the running around I couldn’t do up here in Singapore. Eventually they ended up saving me $50,000 (after fees).
I honestly believe that a goodGround Buyers Agents can save you tens, even hundreds, of thousands of dollars if you’re looking to buy a home, an investment property, a commercial property, farm, vineyard or even a forest. You are wasting valuable time, money and energy if you do not talk to Marty or Tim first to find and negotiate the best deal on your behalf before you buy any type of property.
We listed our house in Waipu with Martin Albrecht in September 2003. We put tight restrictions on the sale of the house, it was not to be listed, we required notice before it could be shown and it was not to be advertised. Martin was very respective of our wishes and not once broke them. We found him to be attentive, kept us informed of all activities in regard to the house. He was up front with us at all times. The house was sold with very little stress to us and he was able to achieve all our requirements without any hassles.
We recommend Martin as a very professional Real Estate Agent (one who actually listens!!). A pleasant and up-front person.
